Hello there!
Have you ever had a moment that changed everything? For me, that moment was two years ago, exactly. On October 7, 2022, I received my offer letter to become the Executive Director of Bezulu.
I was burned out when my family and I moved back to Canada in 2021.
I had spent the last ten years building and launching two different organizations from scratch. I didn’t think I could be “the guy” anymore. I was tired of carrying the weight.
But God had other plans. The first step was a coffee meeting where I was told this:
“We’re starting a new nonprofit meant to care for orphans in Africa.
We’re looking for an executive director.”
God has always used a combination of talent, passion and opportunity to show me my calling and provide direction.
God had given me ten years of practical experience running nonprofits and working directly with African leaders to transform systems of care.
God gave me a beautiful family that directly fuels my passion for ensuring every child has a loving family.
God sent someone to ask me to apply for this job.
I had to say yes.
Through Bezulu, I’ve been able to meet so many incredible families and people working here in Canada and especially in Eswatini. We fund incredible partners in Africa, and our mission is to grow Bezulu to meet the unbelieveable needs we we see in the field.
That coffee meeting sparked a journey that’s touched hundreds of lives in Eswatini. And you’re a crucial part of it.
Together, we’ve acheived so much.
- Provided loving care for orphaned children
- Empowered young adults to build independent lives
- Reunited families and restored hope to communities
- Strengthened local support systems for vulnerable children
But there’s still work to be done. That’s why I am reaching out to you today.
Will you join us in this mission? Your donation to Bezulu directly impacts lives in Eswatini.
Whether it’s $10 or $100 or $1,000, every contribution matters.

We’ll show you exactly how your gift makes a difference, sharing stories of the children and communities you’re helping.
One of those children is Miso. Of all the children we support in Eswatini, his name was the first I had heard. Right after I started working in January 2023, Miso had just been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was 16 years old. His tumour began causing seizures and extreme headaches. Miso was afraid that he was going to die.
Did you know that we successfully funded Miso’s medical care? A medical team in South Africa removed the tumour, and as I write this, Miso is taking his final exams for his last year of high school. When I last spoke with him, he said, “I know that God loves me and has a plan for me. Why else would all of these people on the other side of the world care about me?”
Hundreds of kids like Miso have a future because of people like you.
Thank you for being along for the ride and helping to make it all possible.
Wishing you the very best,
Josh.
Executive Director, Bezulu
P.S. Every child deserves a loving family. Your donation today brings us one step closer to that goal. Give now and be part of that family!
