I hope this message finds you well! I’ve been to Eswatini and back this Fall, and we are gearing up for winter!

Today is November 19th, which means Giving Tuesday is just two weeks away.

Never heard of it? Basically, it’s American Thanksgiving, “Black Friday,” then whatever Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be, then “Cyber Monday,” and finally “Giving Tuesday!”

There’s nothing particularly special about December 3rd, 2024, but it’s an opportunity to create a “giving moment.” A chance to create a campaign and build momentum and excitement heading into the new year.

Well for this year, I have some truly exciting news to share with you:

Two generous families have pledged $70,000 to match every dollar donated by first-time donors to Bezulu. That means every gift from a new donor will go twice as far in transforming lives!

If you’ve never given before, this is your moment to make an incredible difference.

But before I share how you can help, I want to tell you a story about why that help matters.

Two Sisters, One Family

Georgia and Samantha were born into heartbreaking challenges in Eswatini, where poverty and the HIV/AIDS crisis tore through their family. Tragically, they lost their mother to AIDS, and their father wasn’t in their lives.

When they were rescued and brought to Bulembu, they received the care, education and – most importantly – the love that every child deserves.

But last year, something extraordinary happened. Our team located their grandmother and uncle living on a rural homestead. This family had so little, but they had big hearts and even a bigger determination to welcome Georgia and Samantha back home.

With training, ongoing support, and incredible perseverance, the girls were reunited with their family in 2023. One year later, they are thriving. They attend a local school, have joined a support group for HIV-positive young people, and have even reconnected with their biological father, all with the support of our team.

Poverty may break families apart, but we know that God has a plan to put them back together.

$50 becomes $100, covering two monthly grocery stipends for a family like Georgia and Samantha’s, instead of one.

$100 becomes $200, allowing us to fill our truck’s gas tank twice to do even more site visits for children and families in our care.

$500 becomes $1,000, covering their school fees, textbooks, and uniforms for a year.

The need is so significant. We’re supporting hundreds of children in care, and dozens of families who’ve been reunited, but there is so much more to do.
