We recently returned from a fantastic trip to Rwanda. We went to go and visit Akagera National Park, thinking it would be a fairly low-key treck that would allow us to see a few different kinds of animals.

But, it ended up being a full-blown safari…and it was a dream come true.

We saw giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, and many more species! God is definitely creative & has a great sense of humour!

There are African elephants in the national park, but they are a rare sight to see. We were driving down the path almost at the end of our trip, just looking from side to side, hoping to spot another animal or two, when Josh had to slam on the breaks because right in front of us was a ginormous, magnificent, breath-taking, beautiful African elephant. As he continued to walk towards us, we had to slowly back up the the truck…this went on for a while until he decided that we were not a threat and he moved aside to let us pass. He was twice the size of our truck…minds blown. I didn’t know God still made things that big! One of the most epic moments in life. God’s creation is incredible. We just thought we would share some of our favourite pictures from our safari with you. Enjoy!
